Yay its almost fall, so let’s get started with our fall wardrobe-essentials.
Remember that everyone’s key preference are going to be different, I personally like to keep my wardrobe fall very classic and minimal, and maybe adding some new “key” trendy pieces, but overall keeping everything very classic.
It’s an easy way to not get overwhelmed with all the new trends, so by sticking to a classic fall wardrobe that makes you look and feel like a chic fall fashionista.
So what is a fall capsule wardrobe ?
Your capsule wardrobe is essentially having key pieces that will never go out of style.
You see them come back every fall, either with different designs or textures but the aesthetic, and wardrove colors are always the same. The best part is that you won’t always have to invest in new pieces because you know that your last fall clothes will still be on-trend. This can help you save money, so you can invest in good quality pieces that will last you forever.
Oversized Blazer
A blazer is such an essential layering piece, it doesn’t need to be oversized but it’s such a look right now that you should totally try it, regardless a blazer is key piece in your fall wardrobe. They can be added to any fall outfit, and you can either go with a neutral, plaid, black, or a bold statement color.
Also try your nearest thrift stores, to find some beautiful vintage oversized blazers.
Leather Jacket
Leather jackets aren’t going anywhere any time soon, they’re timeless pieces in your fall capsule wardrobe.
Easy to style, just add a white t-shirt and boom you have an outfit, you can dress them down for more of a casual fall outfit or dress it up, the style inspirations are endless.
Cardigans
Knit cardigan are essential pieces for your fall wardrobe, they are easy to style, and the best part; super cozy. Choose a fun fall color or a neutral, something you know you’ll get a lot of use of.
Turtlenecks
Turtlenecks are an easy way to layer and will transition into your winter outfits. They are classics and if you choose a good quality turtleneck they will live in your fall wardrobe for many fall seasons to come.
Trench Coat
This is a classic fall staple when you think about a fall wardrobe. Trench coats aren’t going anywhere any time soon, easy to style and you look like a total fall fashionista when you wear a trench.
If you have yet to check out your nearest thrifting store you should, you’ll be surprised by the amazing pieces you can find.

Leather trousers or leather tights are another essential that needs to live in your closet, again easy to style and can be dressed down or up. These will also transitions nicely into your winter style.

Another essential to add to your fall wardrobe. Again it’s an easy piece to style with a pair of leather pants or jeans and throw some ankle boots or a sneaker and boom a stylish fall outfit.
Straight Leg Jeans
Jeans are staples all year round but a straight leg or flared jeans during fall are perfect because you can style them with ankle boots, boots, sneakers, heels. You really can’t go wrong with a classic.

A boot for fall is a classic staple piece, again easy to style during fall. When choosing a tall boot, I suggest going for a wider shaft for a more roomie look, plus easier to wear with tights or leggings.
Trousers
Trousers are quickly becoming a big staple in everyone’s wardrobe. They are not just a work outfit pant but a versatile essential that can be worn year-round, either as a cute work outfit or an evening night out, or whenever you want to look more put together.
Style them with boots during fall, sneakers, heels, and mules.
Fall Accessories
All these fall accessories will help you pull your look together.
Scarfs for fall are very versatile, not only do they keep you warm during the fall, they will also jazz up your look. Fedoras, caps, leather gloves are also pieces that will transition easily to your winter style.
